This Privacy Policy explains how TerraAurelium ("Company", "We", "Us" or "Our") collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects information when You use TerraAurelium, including Our mobile application, website, subscriptions, communications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
TerraAurelium is a digital beekeeping and apiary-management platform that helps users manage hive records, inspections, notes, images, operations, and related data. By accessing or using the Service, You acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Interpretation and Definitions
Definitions
- Account means a unique account created for You to access the Service or certain features of the Service.
- Application means the TerraAurelium mobile app, website, and related software tools and services.
- Personal Data or Personal Information means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with an identified or identifiable person.
- User Content means content You create, upload, submit, store, or share through the Service, including text, hive records, inspection logs, notes, photos, images, profile information, and similar materials.
- Usage Data means data collected automatically from Your use of the Service, devices, or infrastructure.
- Service Provider means a third party that processes information on Our behalf, such as cloud hosting, analytics, payment processors, customer support tools, email delivery providers, and infrastructure vendors.

- You means the individual using the Service, or the company or organization on whose behalf the Service is being used.
What Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
We may collect information that You provide directly to Us, including:
- Name, email address, phone number, billing address, and account credentials
- Profile information and account preferences
- Hive records, inspection notes, apiary data, logs, comments, text entries, and other operational records
- Images, photographs, and files that You upload or submit through the Service
- Communications You send to Us, including support requests, inquiries, and survey responses
- Payment-related information necessary to process purchases, subscriptions, or paid services; however, full payment card details may be processed by Our third-party payment providers rather than stored directly by Us
Information Collected Automatically
When You use TerraAurelium, We may automatically collect certain information, including:
- IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, app version, language, and time zone
- Usage activity, such as pages visited, features used, actions taken, time spent, crash data, and diagnostics
- Approximate location data inferred from IP address and, where enabled by You, more precise location data from Your device
- Cookies, local storage, SDK data, and similar technologies used to remember preferences, keep You signed in, analyze performance, and improve the Service
Device Permissions and Media
If You choose to grant permission, TerraAurelium may access Your device camera, photo library, files, or location in order to let You capture or upload hive images, attach records, document inspections, or use location-related features. You can disable these permissions through Your device settings, but some features may not function properly as a result.
Payment and Transaction Information
If You pay for products, subscriptions, or services through TerraAurelium, We and Our payment processors may collect transaction information such as purchase details, subscription status, amount paid, currency, billing country, and limited payment metadata needed to verify and manage the transaction. Purchases made through Apple App Store, Google Play, or another third-party platform may also be subject to that platform's own privacy practices.
How We Use Personal Data
We may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the Service, including user authentication, offline syncing, record management, backups, security, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring
- To manage accounts, including registration, login, profile settings, support, and account administration

We collect these categories from You, from Your devices, automatically from Your use of the Service, from payment and app-store platforms, and from Service Providers that support Our operations.
CalOPPA Disclosures
In accordance with California's Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), We post this Privacy Policy conspicuously and update the “Last updated” date when material changes are made. Users may review this Privacy Policy from within the app or website where it is made available.
You may request changes to certain account information by signing into Your account or contacting Us. Because there is no consistent industry standard for responding to “Do Not Track” signals, TerraAurelium does not currently respond to browser-based Do Not Track signals unless and until a legally recognized standard requires otherwise.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, local storage, and similar technologies to remember user settings, keep sessions active, analyze traffic and usage patterns, improve product performance, and support security and fraud prevention. TerraAurelium is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from a child under 13, We will take steps to delete that information.
